Workshop-Einladung: Verpflanzen von Wildlingen (und Traktor-Reparatur)

--- english below ---

Anmeldung: wald@alte-muehle.org

Dear planting enthusiasts (and repairing friends),

On 20-21.11. we want to invite you to a planting weekend in the forest and agroforestry of the Old Mill Gömnigk.

In a workshop we will learn how to transplant wild plants that grow in nature to another place. Sometimes a lot of tree seedlings grow in one place and we could use them in another place. This is a practice that is often used in forestry. It saves us from having to buy them at the tree nursery. We learn what to pay attention to, so that the fine roots do not die and the plant can grow well in the new place.
We want to plant poplars, willows and maples as seedlings and cuttings in our agroforestry system and plant oaks and chestnuts that have germinated in the leaf piles in our reforestation areas in the forest.

In addition, our tractor (an old Famulus 36) does not want to start at the moment. We are at the end of our knowledge. And we would be very happy if people with a clue, who would rather repair than plant, would also come to the weekend - or otherwise coordinate with us.

You are invited to this weekend and feel free to bring friends. You can be there for one or both days. For sleeping arrangements and food planning, please register and write if you have special needs for sleeping or food. We plan to have mattress dorms and possibly a few single dorms and vegan food. Please do a Corona self-test before you arrive.

20.+21.11. from half past 9 to 16 o'clock. In the evening soup and campfire.
Registration: wald@alte-muehle.org

At the moment there is only a rail replacement bus service (SEV), which doubles the travel time from Berlin. Therefore, please write us if you are coming by car, then we can link you to carpools. We can also offer to pick you up at Seddin train station at 9am. More climate friendly is of course to take the SEV to Brück (Mark) and from there walk 2km to us or ride a bike. A few guest bikes are also available.

We are looking forward to seeing you!

Many greetings,
the Agro forest Initiative and the forest initiative
